Covid-19 Resources Here is a great article written by a friend, describing the difficulty she and her family faced losing their mother to cancer during the pandemic. The author shares helpful tips gathered from grief experts on the importance of planning rituals to honor the deceased person’s life, rather than waiting until the pandemic is over, which can exacerbate grief symptoms. I recently did a radio interview which covered the topic of having to delay funerals and memorial services during the pandemic due to social distancing requirements. It includes a good discussion about ways that families can cope with this sad reality. This article that I contributed to that covers the same topic, how to honor our loved ones who have passed away during the quarantine. Mental Health Tips during Covid-19. Helping Children Cope with Changes Resulting from Covid-19. This article discusses the heartbreaking topic of adult children missing their parents during the pandemic and suggests ways to cope. I was honored to contribute to this important discussion on the importance of being open and honest about Covid-19 positive test results and the stigma that has developed around this virus. I was honored to be interviewed by my very talented neighbor, Ellyse Givens, currently a senior at Canyon Crest Academy in San Diego, CA. Ellyse writes beautifully about the importance of self care during the pandemic and how being kind to ourselves is “more than enough”. Great advice for people, regardless of their age.
